Originally from China, Danski Tang is an animation filmmaker and a visual artist now based in Los Angeles.

Focusing on hand-drawn animation and non-fiction, Danski stitches frames into a constantly evolving organism to explore themes of memory, the subconscious, cultural indoctrination, and body autonomy. Her work has been shown in numerous international film festivals such as MoMA DocFortnight, Melbourne Film Festival,Hot Docs Canadian Documentary Festival, Annecy Animated Film Festival, Hiroshima Animation Festival, Vienna Shorts Festival. Her latest film, Umbilical, won the Silver Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival, among other awards.

Danski holds an MFA in Experimental Animation from California Institute of the Arts. She is currently teaching at CalState LA, and has previously taught at CalArts, Otis, CSU Long Beach.
