A public art program curated by Dyson & Womack specifically for the California Natural Resources Agency. Our 10 minutes animation loop is displayed amongst others on the creation of a colossal digital canvas for the lobby inside the New Natural Resources Headquarters Building in Sacramento, CA.

Collaboration with Josh Shaffner.

Project Concept:

Aqua Flux is an animated loop symbolizing the water cycle of our ecosystem, showing how water is inseparable from our own physical well being. This visual examination of Sacramento's water from the macroscopic to the microscopic scale functions as a two minute, hand-drawn animation. The piece follows the passage of water from clouds to rain to rivers to cities, zooming down to the molecular level and finally returning to the start as it evaporates into clouds. This short animation will have no cuts and will flow seamlessly, allowing the viewer to engage at any point.
